As we prepare to press into one of the Greatest Moves of God ever witnessed in the earth, we must remain mindful that one of the greatest obstacles to the advancement of the Kingdom of God is Fear. The scriptures clearly state that God has not given us a spirit of fear (2Timothy 1). However, there are too many believers that are zealous for the Kingdom of God and His Glory being manifested, but inertia sets in when the spirit of fear takes a hold of us and makes us retreat or stand still instead of advance and take territory for the Kingdom of God. This inertia and inactivity is not the Will of God. We must get to the point where we're operating in a spirit to where we Fear No Evil.
Let's set the record straight right now, if you're going to be a Warrior for Christ and a Soldier for the Kingdom of God, you're going to be attacked. That is a fact (2Timothy 3). So we might as well wrap our minds around that on the front end. Not expecting to experience Satanic Attack while engaging in spiritual warfare and Kingdom Advancement is like playing football and not expecting to get hit. Unless of course you're sitting on the bench. But this is for those who are ready to get in the game! That are ready to tussle with enemy forces and battle demonic spirits in the Name of Jesus Christ. Yes, it can be overwhelming. But remember, God has not given us a spirit of fear. We are those who Fear No Evil.
We must also understand the spirit that God is calling us to embrace as we prepare to get on the front lines and answer the Call that God has given us to occupy in His Name. In the Book of Joshua, The Lord told Joshua to "be strong and of a good courage" (Joshua 1). This is what we must embrace if we are to move forward and possess the Promised Land. We must be Strong. Yes it's going to be hard. Yes people are going to talk about you. Yes people are going to misunderstand you. Yes people are going to come against you. But once again, this is par for the course. So don't get discouraged, don't get disappointed, and whatever you do, don't give up. The Lord told Joshua in the same passage, "I will be with thee, I will not fail thee nor forsake thee". The Lord is with us to fight all of our battles. So be strong and stay strong! And next saints, we have to be of Good Courage. Courage that's rooted in the Confidence of God, not in the pride of self. You don't have to be "hyped", but you do have to be courageous. Yes, there may be some internal apprehension because of the overwhelming nature of the call and the task at hand. But we can't allow our personal insecurities or internal battles of inferiority or unworthiness to overwhelm what we know God is calling us to do. To do so is not operating in a spirit of Courage. Which means you're operating outside the Will of God. Be prayerful and let the Holy Spirit breathe on your heart and disposition; that He will give you the necessary Strength and Courage to fulfill the Kingdom Mandate God has placed on your life.
David said in the 23rd Psalm, "I will Fear No Evil, for Thou Art With Me". That's all we need saints. If we've learned to be secure in the Divine Presence of The Father, The Almighty, then there's no need to fear; evil or anything else. Remember, this is not about you, this is about God. Let your focus remain on the Lord and His Presence. And if you do, even in the midst of the darkness, even in the heat of the battle, even when walking through the valley of the shadow of death, you will Fear No Evil.
