The Power of God

One of the problems of the church today, particularly mainstream, traditional churches, is that they lack the power of God.  God has not ordained His church to operate in spiritual weakness and supernatural ineptitude. God has saved His church to be a powerful church.

One of the reasons so many churches, and so many Christians, lack the power of God is because at some level, we're not aware that we're supposed to be operating in power. Many Christians think that if they're born again and are trying to "live right" according to the Word of God, that should be sufficient. This assumption is incorrect.

The objective of the church is to be Christ-like and conformed to His Image. Therefore, if Jesus opened the eyes of the blind, that's being Christ-like. If Jesus raised the dead, then that's being like Christ. If Jesus turned water into wine, then that's being Christ-like. Let us not be satisfied any longer with a Christianity that's devoid of supernatural manifestation. Let us reach for the Power of God.
