The Dangers of Christmas

As festive and celebratory as Christmas is, we must also keep in mind that Christmas can also be a dangerous time of the year. How so? Remember that during the Christmas season God wants to "birth" something in and through His people. And when God starts to birthing, Satan starts trying to "kill, steal and destroy"(John 10). 

In reading the second chapter of the Gospel of St. Matthew, we find God warning Joseph, the stepfather of Jesus, of Herod's attack on the baby Jesus. Don't be surprised saints at the "attacks" that may come your way this Christmas season. Believe it or not, it's part of the Christmas story!

But don't be disappointed, use the wisdom that God gave to Joseph. FOLLOW DIVINE INSTRUCTION! God gave Joseph the warning in a dream and instructed him in terms of exactly what to do to preserve the life of Jesus. Let us make sure that we're doing what God has instructed us to do so that we too may avoid the dangers of Christmas.
