When we think of the word, posture, we usually think of the way in which a person stands. However, posture can also be defined as the attitude and disposition that people embrace that regulates how they approach situations in life and their interaction with others.
The first order of posture that we need to examine is our posture with God. We need to ask ourselves such questions as:
• Do you love God with all of your heart?
• Do you trust Him?
• Do you take Him at His Word?
• Are you seeking first His Kingdom and His Righteousness?
While these questions talk about your posture with God, you also have to ask yourself about your posture with others:
• Are you selfish or selfless?
• Are you judgmental or forgiving?
• Do you look to serve or be served?
Jesus says in the fifth chapter of the Gospel of St. Matthew for us to be perfect even as our Father in heaven is perfect. Jesus wasn't talking about being sinless, He was talking about the pursuit of Perfect Posture.
